Learning music theory is not something students should consider just for examination purposes. Understanding how music works is an essential part of reading, writing and performing music.

SC Music understands that whilst a website or a book can get you some of the way there is nothing quite like personalised lessons where no question is a silly one.

Students can study for fun or for any of the major examination boards. Lessons will be progressive and build from first principles in order that students have a full understanding of each topic.

Our music education cards allow students to take away from each lesson a bite sized reminder of the key concepts without having to wade through a text book. These are free to all SC Music Education Theory students and can be built up as a record of your learning.
